The Director of Sales will be responsible for generating significant revenue by establishing and growing strategic partnerships with brand clients who want consumers to enjoy, become engaged and participate in innovative, creative and unique programs that have proven efficacy.

The ideal Director is a self-starter, extremely dynamic, highly entrepreneurial and well connected within the marketing community. They will have experience working with and securing high six-figure and multi-million dollar deals directly with F1000 and Unicorn brands. In the boardroom, with brand managers, a CMO or a creative team at a major automotive or CPG, this sales executive should
enjoy selling creative solutions "with real results" that keeps brands coming back for more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently hit and/or exceed revenue goals and other KPI’s
  • Proactively communicate and strategically respond to marketplace demands by developing a steady pipeline of new business
  • Leverage existing relationships to maximize both short and long-term revenue opportunities
  • Navigate direct brand relationships to identify and establish internal champions to achieve “buy-in”, which lead to strategic partnership
  • Use Salesforce to maintain organization and transparency with other team members
  • Initially close, then expand business within a brand to achieve enterprise status across multiple product lines
  • Champion the Firm’s mission as a Consumer Activation Platform and leader in the User Generated Advertising category within the industry and related functions to promote the firm.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of media sales, strategic partnerships or business development experience.  Social Media and or C2C related experience ideal.
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding revenue goals and developing large-scale partnerships with F1000 and Unicorn brands
  • 3-5 years of closing deals at all levels of direct brand clients who want to directly engage their consumers.
  • Experience introducing new products and marketing concepts to marketers
  • Experience at a “start-up” or extremely fast-paced growth environment to appreciate the Firm’s growth mode now and in the future.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close new business
  • Exceptional client relationship and communication skills
  • A significant desire to win at all costs, knowing you can provide “real results” to the world’s largest brands
  • Familiar with social media platforms and how brands use them is a plus
  • Exposure to selling SaaS Solutions to clients associated with consumer engagement or social media a big plus
  • Knowledge of Consumer Activation, Consumer Engagement  and or User Generated Content highly desired.

Skills and Experience Required

7-10 years of combined media sales, strategic partnership or business development experience selling to Fortune 50-1000 or Unicorn Brands offering related C2C, B2C, Social Networking, Direct to Consumer or User Generated Content as components of your offings.

Of the 7-10 years of experience, a minimum of 3-5 years must be closing business at all internal levels of direct brand clients vs. just their advertising agencies.

Exposure to selling SaaS | software-as-a-service for turn-key solutions to clients in the media, entertainment, media technology, social media or advertising industries would be a big plus.

This sales executive should have experience introducing new products and marketing concepts to marketers who at times are not aware of the "most advanced" or "most effective" solutions to engage consumers.

The Position

Sales Development Director / Interactive Client Services

Duties

The Sales Development Director is responsible for conceiving and developing creative marketing solutions and supporting sales collateral that leverages the full breadth of the firm's consumer activation platform for global brands.  Clients are major entities within the F1000, Unicorn Brands and advertising agencies.

This role requires a self-starter who is innovative and takes initiative to think creatively and strategically, while working collaboratively as a team player and on independent projects.  This professional should have strong presentation, copy, and interpersonal skills.  We are looking for someone with an exceptional attention to detail that enjoys a deadline-driven, upbeat work environment from creative conception to execution.

The “ideal-person” has the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects while making sure responses to business opportunities flow well, look great and are designed to activate customers. Target verticals include the world’s leading Automotive, CPG, Electronics, Gaming, Entertainment, Sports, Travel & Leisure, QSR’s and many other businesses that the company presents to and services once their business is won.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Deep experience conceptualizing integrated ideas, writing proposals for RFP responses, full sales support from a business perspective (including decks and one-sheets) and creatively bringing them to life, visually. 

The ability to think strategically, understanding sales and marketing needs and translating those needs into compelling concepts and programs that create client enthusiasm.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to work internal and external to the company with others who also enjoy the process and workflow of conceiving and creating these types of creative materials.

A Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in related media with 3-4 years of interactive and or social media exposure.

Any experience planning or strategic planning in an advertising agency or media environment where great ideas come to fruition, when placed, in front of the right audience.

Must be detailed oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and drive process in a consistent manner so proposed time-lines can be proposed and adhered to.

Excellent reasoning skills to comprehend what the client needs and then engage and motivate consumers.

Ability to work proactively and independently with other dedicated team members who truly enjoy what they do and where they work.  This is a very positive culture.

Enthusiastic, energetic and focused to thrive in an upbeat and creative environment that changes priorities based on the needs of new and existing clients.

The ability to generate and execute programs for social media and online content that optimizes the firm's dominance in activating consumers on behalf of F1000 and Unicorn Brands would be ideal.

Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM systems a plus

Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and a knowledge of social platforms and syndicated research (MRI, Nielsen, comScore, MediaRadar, etc.).

Design skills and full knowledge of Photoshop a must with InDesign and other design programs a plus.

A person who enjoys building things and has the creative drive to engaging consumers for global brands in diverse industries where the subject matter is new and fresh based on the brand.

BA/BS degree or equivalent required, Master’s degree a plus
