Summary

The position of Regional Vice President, Sales - East (RVP) is responsible for leading and developing a group of talented Account Executives (AE) to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth within the Account Executives' assigned territory and business portfolios.

The RVP will be responsible for the Eastern region territory and for developing and strengthening a set of accounts and vertical markets.  The RVP will provide sophisticated management direction for the AE's assigned to his or her team, and will manage relationships with other staff functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support the firm’s selling objectives and relationship goals.

Territory: Canada, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, W. Virginia, and Washington D.C.

Duties

  • Develop and implement sales plans by Account Executive and/or accounts aligned with market segment, geographic territory, and business portfolio in support of company objectives.
  • The Regional Vice President will meet or exceed sales objectives of the assigned region/accounts by promoting and selling solutions through professional sales techniques and customer relationships.
  • Provide reporting of pipeline and forecast using the SalesForce automation tool with high regard to data integrity.
  • Select, develop, and coach a professional sales team to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth.
  • Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of “solution selling” at all levels of the customer's decision-maker hierarchy.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts.
  • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base
  • Travel extensively to meet customers and to coach Account Executives in the field.

Required

  • 10 years of broadcast and new media related experience with demonstrated acumen with media technology sales and media workflow solutions.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing, leading, growing and developing successful sales teams.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills including the ability to develop Professional Service & Product Value Statements regarding the firm’s portfolio of media products and services for incorporation into presentations to C-level executives.
  • Coach Account Executives to build effective staff relationships that enable them to respond quickly to emerging customer opportunities, and provide for seamless execution of the company's business processes that consistently exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)
  • Solution selling skills relevant to media technology / media technology workflow solutions
  • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
  • High level of financial and business acumen
  • Ability to implement and bring to fruition regional business plans and policies / procedures.
  • Must be able to understand and anticipate the impact of external and internal issues on the organization.
  • This Regional Vice President needs to be highly motivated and results oriented possessing a positive attitude that others will emulate.
  • The person needs to have excellent teamwork skills with the ability and willingness to support sales team approaches inclusive of strategic account selling strategies.
  • Should have very strong customer service advocacy and the ability to provide satisfactory service to the customers.
  • Updates job knowledge and acumen by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal and professional networks.
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, marketing, economics or related field is preferred.

This position will partner with Sales Management, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Line Management and the Global Service organization (customer service & professional services) to help drive and support business in the region.  The position will also interact with Operations (order entry and manufacturing) and Marketing in order to support the regional sales team.
